Year 9 Program

RAID - Respect, Achievement, Innovation, Diversity

The last RAID day last term was taken over by our Health and PE department, who organised a golf lesson at our local Gisborne Golf Club. Some students seem to have a hidden talent with a club in hand!

We also had a visit from the good people at Headspace for information on mental health and the importance of supporting one another.

Ms. McClusky organised the day, Mr. Woodlock ran a relaxing yoga session and Mr. Nguyen ran a tough boxing fitness clinic, big thanks to those teachers.

Next RAID day (4th of May) is at school. We’ll be visited by Greenhat who will be running their ‘planks’ incursion and RMIT is visiting to pass on their project management expertise.  Students will need to bring their device to begin work on their RAID presentation, a showpiece for families to see everything they’ve experienced and learnt in RAID throughout the year.

Finally, all year 9s have been sent a link on teams to make a choice for their RAID activity on the 18th of May. Students must choose by the end of this week (29th) or a choice will be made for them!
