ART NEWS

Our students have begun the term exploring how to incorporate multiple mediums in their artwork. Students have begun creating their portfolio artworks and will continue working on these over the coming weeks. They are combining elements such a collage, painting and drawing to create what is certain to be very impressive pieces of artwork.

We would like to particularly celebrate the persistence our Grades 3 to 6 students are demonstrating, as they work on creating their very own jungle animal stencil. Students are having to think very carefully about the logistics of this task, and are certainly giving their fine motor skills a workout, as they cut their stencil out of card!

This term sees Mrs Tyler join the Art team, as Kyra returns to her role in tutoring. Thank you to Kyra for all of your input into the Visual Arts program in Term 1, and a big, warm welcome to Mrs Tyler! How lucky we are here at Delacombe to have such skilled and adaptable staff!
