FAITH BASED INQUIRY

This term at St Joseph's our Faith Based Inquiry topic is CHANGE.

Our Religious Education program is planned and implemented using many resources and is woven into our inquiry units covering specific learning areas each term.

Making real life connections to what it means to be a person of faith, making a difference to their world with social justice at the heart of all we do

In the inquiry classroom we use provocations to spark curiosity and wonder from the students. Provocations are images, artefacts, videos or questions that have close links to the content or topic being explored. By using provocations, it allows the teacher to gain insight into what the students know and where to take learning experiences into the future.

Here are our BIG Questions for this term's topic CHANGE

Prep - As I grow and change with my world how can I make positive changes?

Year 1/2 - How can we use technology responsibly to look after our environment so that it is preserved for future generations?

Year 3/4 -  How does our faith shape and change the global world we live in?

Year 5/6 - How has our Catholic faith, technology and history of Australia shaped and impacted Australian people over time?

Our students are looking forward to  being involved in their learning through investigating, creating , building on their understanding, meanings and knowledge within our Inquiry topic “CHANGE”.
