Hooray for eBooks!

In times like this when we run out of physical books to read and enjoy, you can turn to the magic of eBooks. Your eBooks are available even after you’ve disconnected from the internet, hooray!  All the instructions on how to use eBooks are on their website. If you’ve been reluctant to read because of poor eyesight or reading challenges like dyslexia, the ability to customize your eBooks will help you to re-discover the joy of reading.

To access our school eBook collection simply go to https://koonungsecondary.wheelers.co/

or the eBook link under the star on Compass.

To date there are 1807 books in the collection which grows all the time. The school will be adding to this collection shortly; any suggestions please ask! Here is a snapshot of a few new titles recently added

All that's on offer

I have compiled tiny list of websites and resources that are varied in their benefits but worthwhile having a peak at!

https://studentwellbeinghub.edu.au/ Want to find out how to keep healthy, happy and get the most out of school? this is a good place to start

https://stories.audible.com/start-listen All stories are free to stream on your desktop, laptop, phone or tablet. For as long as schools are closed, Audible is open!

Some of you may have heard of Zoella (Zoe Sugg), a YouTuber with a huge influence on young people in the UK. We have a few of her books in the library, she's a bit of fun to zone out and listen too.

An oldie but a goodie https://radio.abc.net.au/ from triple J to sport, it's sometimes nice to have something different to listen to whilst your smashing the keys on your keyboard.

And of course a bit of a book fix from Penguin https://www.penguin.com.au/young-readers/teen-and-young-adult it's great to see what's new!
