State Athletics

On Monday 22 October, six students participated in the State Athletics competition held at Lakeside Stadium.  The finals were spaced out from 10.00am in the morning all the way to 8.00pm in the evening with 122 individual and team events taking place.

Congratulations to Nathan A who took out the 17-year Triple Jump event with a jump of 12.83m. Nathan also finished in 4th place for the 17-year Javelin event only narrowly missing out on a medal.

Jack W also finished in first place in his individual event of 14-year High Jump clearing the bar at 1.75m and narrowly missing a personal best of 1.80m.

Jack and Nathan will now participate in the All Schools Competition on Friday 2 – Sunday 4 November and we wish them well for their events.

The 15-year Boys Relay team ran by Daniel C, Anthony C, Isaac C and Isaac M finished in 6th position in what was a very close race. The boys raced a personal best of 49.16 seconds. An outstanding achievement by all the students who participated on the day.
