Principal’s Music Showcase and Hamilton Eisteddfod Special Event – Piano and Strings
All ensembles are in the final preparation stages for the upcoming Principal’s Music Showcase to be held in the Simons Auditorium, Kantor Family Music and Performing Arts Centre on Tuesday 17 August at 7pm. This fabulous celebration was postponed last term due to restrictions but is now back on the calendar. Communication will be sent via Operoo for all students involved onstage. Tickets will be free but will need to be booked online. The ticketing link will be shared as soon as possible, with consideration to the most up-to-date COVID Safe protocols.
The Hamilton Eisteddfod’s Special Event, on Monday 30 and Tuesday 31 August, will provide an opportunity for String and Piano soloists, and our String Ensembles to perform in a public venue under the eye of respected Melbourne based concert pianist Stefan Cassomenos. Stefan has performed internationally since the age of 10 and performed the premiere of his own composition Piano Concerto No 1: Aegean Odyssey with the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra at the age of 16. He is also Co-Director of The Port Fairy Spring Music Festival with partner and MSO Violinist, Monica Curro.
