MS SALLY LOONEY & MS BRENDA BRADY - PATHWAYS TEAM
Term 2 has been a very busy time for us with students from Year 8 to Year 11 choosing their 2022 subjects. We have had many meetings with students who have been unsure about some of the subjects or pre-requisites to keep further study options open.
We recently had a visit from the ADF careers team – Leading Seaman Peter Williams and Captain Gemma Berto, who spoke to students about their roles as well all the possibilities available to them in the Defence Force. All the students who attended found the presentation very informative and any questions they had were answered really well.
Defence Careers Information Session
An upcoming Defence Careers Information Session will be held in Swan Hill on Tuesday 27th of July 2021 at the Swan Hill RSL Club from 6:00pm. This session is about careers in the Defence Force and the team will be happy to answer all questions. University Open Days 2021
Year 11 and Year 12 students are always encouraged to attend Open Days if possible. Whilst we try our hardest to provide all this information to students and their parents, it is also recommended that students look at websites and register their interest in events so they don’t miss out on an event they are very keen to attend – especially this year as there could be limits on attendees.

10B Work Experience
10B students are having a wonderful week completing a week of work experience in a number of different industries such as Agriculture, Education, Art and Graphic Design, Hairdressing, Hospitality, Allied Health and a number of trades. Unfortunately, due to recent restrictions, some students were unable to do a placement in their preferred field. They have been encouraged to consider doing this once these restrictions are removed.
