CULINARY CHALLENGE

Today the 1st Year VET Hospitality students competed in the inter-school Culinary Challenge. This competition is an annual event organised by the MMLEN to help promote Hospitality pathways in our local area. The Challenge requires students to cook a three-course meal within a set time limit. They are judged by local chefs (one of whom is a former student of our College, Stephanie Puglisi) who observe their cooking skills, organisation, taste and presentation of the food. All of our students performed to a high standard and should be commended for their efforts. The two top cooks were Farirai Muyambo and Ngaire Harlan who will go on to represent St Mary MacKillop College in the Regional Final against the Swan Hill Secondary College in August.
