Grade Three

Wow! What a start to term 3

It was great to see everyone at school during week one. Everyone had a good rest after a busy term two. Students came back to school with big smiles on their faces and were eager and engaged.

The unexpected remote learning in week two and three showed us how wonderfully our students can show flexibility and adapt to the changes in their learning. We are so proud of everyone! Our daily morning WebEx meetings gave us the chance to connect with our students. We played games, chatted and had lots of fun each day!

It is so good to be back at school. All grade three students are continuing to work very hard and discover lots in our Literacy and Maths sessions. We have continued learning about the writing process and we have been discovering how to improve our story introductions. The SMART Spelling process continues to allow our students to learn to spell words, understand word meanings and understand how words work, while writing.

During Maths, we have discovered lots of information about arrays, fact families and multiplication. We have also explored division which has been challenging but fun.

In integrated we are eagerly exploring the Olympic games and in particular, the Paralympics. We are so excited to see how Australia goes!

As always the grade three teachers remain extremely  appreciative of the support that our families  continue to give to their children and to our school. We are excited to be back together and can’t wait for the adventures and fun  that the remainder of Term 3 will bring!
