Alumnae High Tea and AGM

Sunday 23 May 2021

On Sunday 23 May 2021, we felt fortunate to gather with 100 alumnae at Sacré Cœur only days before another lockdown in Victoria.

We commenced with a beautiful Mass in the Chapel, officiated by Fr Wayte, followed by a sumptuous High Tea provided by the Alumnae Committee. The classes of 1950, 1951, 1960,1961, 1970 and 1971 celebrated their reunions and enjoyed the photo book

of memories and display boards of photos our archivist, Barbara Kowalski had assembled.

It was also wonderful to welcome two tables of young alumnae — the Classes of 2019 and 2018. The Alumnae Association AGM was also conducted.

To have both our young and long serving alumnae in attendance was very special. Pictured below is the youngest alumna present, Róisín Tuohy (Class of 2019) and Norah Toohey (Class of 1944).  In a small world, Norah and Róisín discovered that they are related through Norah's late husband Frank. Despite graduating from Sacré Cœur 75 years apart, this was yet another example of our close and loving community.
