Literacy Celebrations at Westgrove

This newsletter, we are celebrating some amazing literacy work from the Preps!

Reading

The Preps have been busy preparing for their upcoming Farm Excursion (Tuesday October 11th). They have been reading a wide range of books about farms so they are have more knowledge and vocabulary before the experience. They have been also been focusing on the features of a non-fiction text.

Writing

The Preps been revising the features of a sentence including the ‘who/what’ and ‘what they’re doing’. Over the next few weeks, they will be investigating a fragment (when there is a part missing from the sentence) and how to fix it. Here are some fantastic examples from some of our Preps this week:
