Robotics Club

The RoboSapiens and I are thrilled to share with you the exciting news about our recent participation in the APOC FLL Robotics Internationals. Our team put up an amazing effort and secured the 38th position out of the best 50 robotic teams in the world, hailing from diverse countries like America, Spain, Czech Republic, and Taiwan.

The four-day extravaganza was nothing short of a rollercoaster ride, packed with a plethora of activities that kept us on our toes. We kicked off the event with a bang, grooving to the beats from the videos of different teams in the Cultural Celebration. The fun didn't stop there as we engaged in a trivia contest with other teams, where our very own Mr. Murphy emerged victorious with a whopping 1,666 points! The Feature Creatures show was a highlight of the event, where we got up close and personal with some fascinating creatures like snakes, frogs, bugs, and insects. We also had the opportunity to immerse ourselves in the aboriginal dreamtime show, where we joined in the dancing and experienced the rich culture of the indigenous people.

The Amazing Race was a thrilling experience, where we had to race around the University to solve cryptograms and complete challenges.

And of course, the robot rounds were the ultimate test of our skills, where we scored an impressive 235 points, beating teams such as Montecastelo Bot (Spain), ENDRON (Mexico) and TRIUMPH (Japan) with a very simplistic robot, compared to their very impressive big bulky ones and won medals for our efforts.

Rhe event was a blast, and we had a lot of fun bonding as a team and meeting other participants. And let's not forget the bubble tea (the star of the event) - we drank it practically everyday!
