ENVIRO ARMY

Brookside is looking so much cleaner thanks to our group of student volunteers called the Enviro Army

Each Monday, Wednesday and Friday, our army enthusiastically tidy up the yard using the buckets and gloves generously donated by Bunnings.

It was great to see our Year 5 students helping younger volunteers with putting on gloves and hand sanitisation. In our first week of operation, 2 full wheelie bins of rubbish were collected with the amount being drastically reduced in the second week. See pictures below of our Enviro Army in action.

VOLUNTEERS WANTED!

The SAKG program is looking for volunteers to help supervise small groups of Year 3 students during their cooking sessions. If you are free on any Tuesdays between 9-11 or 11.45-1.45. Please contact Ms. Crossman or your child’s homegroup teacher. No cooking skills required, just the desire to do something useful!

This week, students toured the kitchen and learnt to identify cooking equipment. In the garden, some met the chickens for the first time whilst others explored the growing patches.
