2023 German Poetry Competition

2023 Wimmera Mallee German Regional Poetry Competition

Horsham College hosted the Wimmera Mallee German Regional Poetry Competition on Wednesday 26th July. Participating schools included Rainbow P-12 College, Dimboola Memorial Secondary College and Horsham College.

Congratulations to Oliver Oman, Charlie Murray and Casey Westmoreland (Year 7), Isaac Gregor, Riley McCallum and Tyler Sherratt (Year 8), in addition to Ellie Slorach, Orlan Hart and Annabelle Gregor (Year 9) who represented our school. These students were selected as the best in their year levels and are to be commended on their efforts in preparing for the competition and the outstanding way they represented our school.

Thank you to Year 9 German student Amy Johnstone who stepped in at the last minute to help the judges with their administration.

All competitors were treated to a German style meal prepared by Ms Cat Clarke and her VET Hospitality students. We thank Ms Clarke and her students for their efforts in preparing and catering for this day.
