A Visit from Alumni Alysha Lowry

In a recent visit that left a lasting impact on the Year 12 Visual Communication Design class, the college was graced with the presence of an inspiring alumni, Alysha Lowry. The former student returned to share her invaluable insights and tips for success when completing a folio and two final presentations. Alysha's incredible journey from university to becoming an Australian YouTuber has not only captivated audiences but also demonstrated the boundless opportunities available in the field of graphic design, animations, and cartoon drawings via computers and web applications.

During her studies, Alysha discovered her flair for digital art and animation, which ultimately led her to embark on an exciting journey on YouTube. Working for a very popular Australian Youtuber called ‘Jazza’ whose videos focus on graphic design/animations and cartoon drawings via computers/web applications. Alysha regularly features on ‘Jazza’s other channel called ‘Insert Art’. Alysha’s content not only showcases her immense skills but also served as a platform to share knowledge, tutorials, and creative challenges. The 'Jazza' channel is a hub of artistic exploration, fostering a supportive community of like-minded individuals who encourage each other to grow and excel in their craft.

During her visit to the Year 12 Visual Communication Design class, Alysha shared her journey, offering valuable insights into the art of building a compelling SAT folio and delivering standout final presentations. Drawing from her experiences, she emphasized the significance of authenticity and creativity in the design process. Alysha encouraged students to embrace their unique styles and perspectives, as these qualities often serve as catalysts for innovative ideas and exceptional artwork.

As her visit concluded, the Year 12 Visual Communication Design class was left feeling inspired and motivated to embark on their own creative journeys. Alysha Lowry's story reminded them that passion, dedication, and a willingness to embrace challenges are the key ingredients for success in the world of Visual Communication Design.
