New Principal Announced

It is with great pleasure that we like to announce the appointment of Mr Sam Cheesman to the position of Principal of Tyndale Christian School – Strathalbyn, commencing January 2020.

Sam is a highly experienced educational leader, a passionate Humanities teacher and an enthusiastic life-long learner. Sam is currently employed as the Director of Studies at St Peter’s College, where he has worked in leadership roles since 2012 and during this time led, and contributed to, a number of key improvement initiatives for the school relating to learning analytics, teacher development and strategic planning. Prior to this, he had been employed as the Academic Development Coordinator and Teacher at SPH International in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Sam has been married to Heather for 21 years and has 2 children, their eldest, Bella, is 19 and their son Jack, 18 and as a family they attend Coromandel Valley Uniting Church.

Sam was able to visit Tyndale Christian School - Strathalbyn on Tuesday this week, with opportunity to meet the staff and briefly visit many of the students in their classes.  We look forward to advising you in due course of the opportunities available for you as parents to meet with him.

While this is an exciting time for the future of Tyndale Christian School – Strathalbyn, we would also take this opportunity to share our deepest gratitude to Nigel Croser for his leadership since 2017.

Please pray for Sam and his family as they transition to this new appointment over the remainder of the year and that they will quickly become an integral part of the Tyndale Christian School - Strathalbyn community as of 2020.
