Sports Roundup

During Term 1, the Year 7 and 8 students participated in a Weekly Interschool Sport Program against 3 other schools in our division pool. Brighton, Bentleigh and McKinnon proved to be great opponents and gave us some great matches across 3 different sports.

Our baseball and tennis teams fought well, gaining great points in all of their matches. Despite our efforts, the other schools were victorious, however, students should be proud in their efforts to learn new sports and compete at such a competitive level.

Our volleyball teams had more success on the scoreboard this term. Both the Year 8 teams gained 2 victories but fell just short of winning the third. Unfortunately, this means we narrowly miss out on finals. The Year 7 volleyball teams proved strong, gaining skills to improve each game. Both male and female teams made it through to the division finals, which were due to be played later this term.

Due to recent events, all Inter-school Sport, including Athletics and over various sporting finals have been postponed until further notice. We will ensure to relay any updated information regarding sporting events to the community.
