NAPLAN

This year NAPLAN testing is taking place from March 15 - 17. All Year 7 and 9 students will participate in NAPLAN testing.

As has been the case in previous years, NAPLAN tests will be completed online. This will require all students to have a fully charged laptop and a set of earphones. Where possible earphones with a cord are preferable to Air Pods.

St Joseph’s values the data collected during NAPLAN testing. Along with other data, it is used to inform decisions at a school, subject and class level. We are also able to view each individual student's test results, allowing us to ensure we are meeting students at their point of need.

This year NAPLAN has provided the public with a demonstration site to allow students and parents to become familiar with the test format. We encourage you to look through this with your child. This website can be found here: https://www.nap.edu.au/naplan/public-demonstration-site

NAPLAN Testing Dates and Test Periods:

Wednesday 15 March	9 Writing	7 Writing	9 Reading
Thursday 16 March	7 Reading	7 Conventions of Language	9 Conventions of Language
Friday 17 March	7 Numeracy	9 Numeracy

If your child is absent on one of these days, there will be catch up tests running in the following week.
