New Medical Procedures and Policies

Dear Parents/Guardians, 

This year St Justin's has introduced new medical management procedures in line with directives from Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools (MACS). These changes reflect the Victorian Registration and Qualification Authority requirements for all registered schools in Victoria, in the management of student wellbeing including first aid and distribution of medication.

As a result of these changes, medical management procedures at St Justin's have been updated.

Q. What do I do if my child requires medication at school?

A. If your child required any medication to be administered that does not relate to one of the below Action/Care Plans, please ensure the Medical Authority Form and the Medical Management Plan are completed by an APHRA registered Medical Practitioner and sent to the Office via Email or in person. office@sjwheelershill.catholic.edu.au

Q.  What do I do with the completed forms.

A. Scan and upload to you Childs OPEROO profile and give original copies to the school office, you will provided with a copy once processed.

Anaphylaxis Forms to be completed: ASCIA Action Plan Anaphylaxis Epi Pen  and Medical Authority Form and Medical Authority Form

Allergies (Non Drug) Medication Management form to be completed: ASCIA  Allergic Reaction Action Plan and Medical Authority Form

Allergies Drug Medication Management Form to be completed ASCIA Drug Allergy Action Plan and Medical Authority Form

Seizures forms to be completed: Epilepsy Management Plan and Medical Authority Form

Asthma forms to be completed: Asthma Action Plan and Medical Authority Form

Hay fever forms to be completed: ASCIA Allergic Rhinitis Action Plan  and Medical Authority Form

Eczema forms to be completed ASCIA Eczema Action Plan  and Medical Authority Form

Reminder - Update your Childs Photo on OPEROO

We ask that you have all medical forms and Medical Authority forms filled out, up to date and uploaded to Operoo. This is especially needed in cases of emergency.
