SAINTS PARENT FORUM 

More than 50 parents and staff attended the first Parent Forum of 2023 on Friday 17 February. Mr Seivers opened the floor for questions from parents and a variety of topics were discussed including the menu at Tolle's, sport opportunities, lockers, tutorials, extra-curricular activities and more. The funding of items using the P&F levy was discussed. As part of the Parent Forum charter, these funds are to be allocated in alignment with the College Strategic Plan. All funds are managed through the Saints bank account, as all P&F funds across the state are, and an income and expenditure statement was provided to outline available funds. A commitment was made in 2022 to allocate funds to the Lavalla building across a number of areas, benefiting all boys at the school.  As at 31December 2022, there were remaining funds of $67,959 with further funds due in 2023.  Mr Seivers had previously requested funding of $20,000 to be allocated to the purchase of two lathes and a milling machine for Design and Technology. The current machines are more than 20 years old and are due for replacement.  This suggestion was supported by parents at the forum.
