The students in the Senior School have been expanding their social skills through Floor Friends; the students work with an assigned partner throughout the week to discuss questions in class. Together, they practice SLANT (Sit up, lean in, acknowledge, nod, and tracking) to build their active listening skills.
Additionally, Senior Students are building their leadership capacity by having lunch twice a week with a Prep buddy. The Senior Students are expected to show The Wollert Way to their younger buddies, having lunch with them and engaging in conversations on Wednesdays and Fridays.
The students have been participating in athletic try outs on active Fridays, having a go at long jump, shot put, 100m and 200m sprint and discus.
2023 Graduation
A quick update on the Year 6 Graduation;
At the time of writing this report, we have commenced some very initial graduation planning. This celebration will acknowledge and recognise our Year 6 students who at the end of the year will be sadly leaving Wollert Primary School to commence their secondary school learning stories. As the details of the end-of-year graduation are finalised, all information will be shared with our families. We very much look forward to sharing this very special time with together.

Brain food: Each day at 10.00am, we sit together to eat our brain food. Brain food is either fruit, vegetables or yoghurt. Please ensure your child has one of these items in their lunch box each day.
