Performing Arts Assembly

We were delighted to celebrate students’ achievements in performing arts last week in our Performing Arts Assembly. Despite the challenging situation that students have been in this year it was encouraging to see how many had persevered with tuition to work towards AMEB and IMEB exams as well as contribute to their co-curricular ensembles. We also enjoyed a stunning performance from violinist Keeley O’Toole as well as all our three dance groups who presented dances from High School Musical with joyful enthusiasm. Thanks to Mrs Moxey and Mrs Punch for preparing these students so proficiently for this event. The assembly was filmed, and we will share the link with you when it becomes available to us.

2021 Instrumental Tuition

Tuition forms have been sent out with this semester’s reports. Please make sure you complete the form and return to the Performing Arts office as soon as possible (email or hard copy). Timely return of these forms assists us in planning and allocating lesson times for the coming year and is hugely appreciated. If your child is not currently enrolled in lessons and you wish to enrol for 2021, please contact us for more information about the enrolment process.

Year 1 Strings

This term saw the last group of violin and cello students take part in our Year 1 strings program. Despite the short term, we have enjoyed watching their progress and hope that some of the students have enjoyed their ‘taster’ of what’s involved in playing a string instrument. If you wish to speak with our staff regarding continuing tuition on a string instrument, please contact the Performing Arts Office.

Co-curricular Timetable for 2021

This will be distributed to parents in January once we are informed of any restrictions that will be in place for 2021 regarding performing arts ensembles.

Thank you once again for your valued support of our Performing Arts Program in 2020. Wishing you a relaxing and joyful Christmas and look forward to welcoming students back for a music, dance and drama filled 2021!
