Message from

the Deputy Principal

Mr James Boyd

The final newsletter of the year means we have (nearly) made it to the end of the academic year. We are all aware of the year we have had, and it has certainly presented numerous challenges on many fronts for students, parents and staff alike. It would be remiss of me not to acknowledge my appreciation and admiration for the resilience, patience and flexibility that all members of the KWS community have shown since March of this year.

Many lessons have been learnt during 2020 and one of the most powerful experiences for me is seeing the bonds, which have been forged in difficulty, enrich and strengthen the relationships between our staff and students: something that will stand us in good stead for when we return in 2021.

We look forward to Speech Day on Thursday 3rd December and this is something that we should not take for granted. At one stage this year, we were planning for everybody to be watching this remotely. Whilst we are unable to have parents and families with us, I do hope as many of you as possible will join us via the livestream. The link for the livestream can be found below:

Final message

The upcoming break will afford families and friends the opportunity to reconnect with each other and unwind after this tumultuous year. I hope our students will keep themselves safe and be sure to make good choices over the summer holidays.

I wish you and your family a restful and happy holiday together and I hope that 2021 brings good health to everyone close to you.
