Entrepreneurs in Commerce
Our Year 9 Commerce Entrepreneurs of the year have recently been announced. Congratulations to Harry Coady, Fin Shephard and Magnus Cleary from the Ice Cream Team who raised $110 for the Prostate Foundation of Australia selling homemade ice cream with Tim Tams, Cookies and Cream and Caramel flavours.
This annual award is designed to recognise students who have demonstrated a thorough and sophisticated understanding and application of business planning, promotion and operation. It also awards students who take on the challenge of owning and operating a business and achieve success by generating profit that can be given back to the community through a charitable organisation.
Overall, 16 small businesses planned and operated their enterprises in school during Term 3, selling their wares to collectively raise over $600 for a variety of charities.

Duke of Edinburgh - Kosciuszko National Park
12 Bronze and 4 Silver Duke of Edinburgh participants travelled to Kosciuszko National Park to complete the adventurous journey component of their award. The four days were an exploration into the alpine environment with a major hiking component. Students fine tuned their camp craft, basic navigation skills and showed great leadership. There was plenty of adventure and outdoor learning, a great couple of days to finish off the year.
