Leader of Student Wellbeing 

Welcome back to the new school year and to our new families to the College. The Pastoral Care Team look forward to working with our families in providing pastoral and well being support throughout the year.

Year 7 

Commencing high school always brings new challenges. To facilitate the transition a few key points Mrs O’Neill has asked me to pass on:

• Labelling clothing - hats, jumpers etc
• Placing an identifiable name tag/coloured ribbon etc on school bags
• A second drink bottle during the hot weather
• Students without stationery packs will be ordered by Mrs Gleeson-Barker (office administration) and delivered to McCarthy
• For students catching the bus please ensure they know the bus number and animal symbol
• Car pick up area is behind the school hall (not outside the front office)

Uniform - All students

A PDF file is attached listing the relevant uniform requirements. Please follow the requirements of uniform, including grooming. Students in Year 7 - 10 are to wear sports uniform when they have a double period of PDHPE. If a student is not in the correct uniform, a note signed by parents/guardians is required. The note is shown to and co-signed by the mentor group teacher in the morning roll call, or alternatively an email can be sent to: mccadmin@arm.catholic.edu.au

Peer Support - Year 7

This term we will begin the Peer Support program with students. The Peer Support Program provides a fun and engaging environment for young people to address social issues. Modules are designed to equip them with skills to deal proactively with life experiences. The Peer Support Program promotes wellbeing, which encourages positive relationships, connectedness and a sense of responsibility. The sessions will be conducted in small groups with two peer leaders from Year 10.
