School Canteen & Price List

Ballarat High School operates a canteen from the Amenities Building each school day, providing lunches and snacks to students and staff. All items are sold at or below retail prices. The School employs some paid staff, but also relies on volunteers to help keep costs down and assist in the preparation of healthy food selections.

Our canteen operates within the DET School Canteens and Other School Food Services Policy, which provides guiding principles on food selection, food categories and food safety. We offer a broad range of healthy food and beverage items each day; hot and cold, sweet and savoury, with menus changing regularly. 

The Canteen staff are constantly trialing new and interesting healthy items, which provide students and staff with a good range of choices.

Additional volunteers are always needed and welcomed. If you have a few hours to spare, Melissa Cree our Canteen Manageress would be very pleased to hear from you.

In accordance with the DET - Mobile Phone Policy – we unfortunately cannot accept payments via phone, smart watch etc. Please ensure you have a physical card available, if you wish to pay by EFTPOS or Credit.
