Bus Travellers

Travellers on the CDC bus service (including Miners Rest) to BHS will require a MYKI card.

Parents will be required to purchase 2 x half yearly or 1 x annual MYKI Regional Student Pass from the Ballarat Railway Station.

Alternatively a CHILD MYKI concession card maybe used, up to/including the age of 18 years, when travelling in school uniform.

Please check carefully the costs/requirements for both options and choose the most appropriate for your circumstances.

We strongly recommend that all MYKI cards are registered online or by calling PTV on 1800 800 007. This protects your funds if the card is lost/stolen and gives the ability for auto top-up etc.

All bus travellers are reminded that you

MUST carry your MYKI CARD AT ALL TIMES

and TOUCH ON and OFF every time.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

All Year 8 - 12 students have been issued with a NEW style Ballarat High School ID Card which includes the PTV logo.

Ballarat High School has registered as a participating school with PTV, which allows students with a new BHS ID Card to no longer need a separate PTV School Student ID Card – a saving of $9 per student.

Students will be required to carry the BHS ID Card as proof of entitlement to concession fares or to buy a student pass.

Those students without a new BHS ID Card (Year 7 and other newly enrolled students) wishing to purchase a MYKI, may still need to obtain a 2021 PTV School Student ID. Forms are available from the General Office.
