Head to Help Program

Dear Parents and Carers,

I hope you enjoyed a break over the Christmas period, and have had a terrific start to the New Year.

Given the challenges associated with 2020, I am writing to inform you about a new program that is available – for wellbeing and mental health issues.

HeadtoHelp is a free service that provides support to Victorians of all ages, and is located at the Ballarat Community Health Centre in Lucas. This program can assist you to link with an appropriate service and/or offer counselling and support for up to 6 months if there is a waiting period to access that support. HeadtoHelp counsellors are available to support children, adolescents, adults and elderly members of our community.

You do not need a referral or a mental health care plan to receive support from HeadtoHelp.

To access the service telephone the Community Health Centre on 03 5338 4500 to have a confidential discussion regarding the needs of any member of your family.

Please remember the sooner we all reach out for support regarding our mental health, the less likely it is that there will be an ongoing impact. If you would like to learn more about HeadtoHelp please click on the link below and it will take you to the website: https://headtohelp.org.au/

Kind regards,
