Principal's Message

Aspire, Celebrate, Reflect

Principal, Mr Roger Herbert

Dear Parents,

This week we held many different events, which is a sign that our College calendar is getting into full swing.

It’s been wonderful to meet so many of you at our different House breakfasts, with only one more next week for McKay House on Friday 19th February; and I hope you’ve taken up the opportunity to meet with your child’s Head of House and Tutor Group Coaches in these informal settings.

The first of our Outdoor Education Information Evenings happened this week for Year 7, with Years 8-11 Outdoor Ed Info Evenings happening next week. Please go to our College Calendar for more details: https://www.stphilips.nt.edu.au/calendar

On Wednesday we officially welcomed our new staff at our Commencement Service and also on Wednesday our P&FA held their AGM and I look forward to working with all parents again in 2021, and congratulations to Lizzie Edwards (President), Susan Button (Vice-President), Sally Trigg (Treasurer) and Amelia Robinson (Secretary).

To round off a very busy week we then held the opening of the refurbished Bridging Hub on Friday morning. Senator Sam McMahon visited the College and officially opened the building and it was wonderful to see our College Life Governors Chris Tudor, Dr Charles Butcher and Laurel Butcher together with Josh Burgoyne MLA and Mayor Damien Ryan also present at the opening with some of our Bridging students and many other distinguished guests.

As I’ve stated many times in the past, all of these events require a lot of planning and effort and I would like to thank all staff who made these events happen.

Thank you and Be Kind Always,

~ Mr Roger Herbert
