YEAR 10 DNA

Week 1 #science #remotelearning at KSC.

10A students were challenged to construct a model of DNA using household items.

10B have completed their DNA task in the last few days and there are some more examples included in this post.

7/8 LIKE MINDS SCIENCE

7/8 Like Minds Science students have been investigating separation techniques of mixtures at home. Students had to submit evidence of themselves completing their experiments. Here are some of their awesome results. Well done!

FORENSIC SCIENCE

KSC’s Forensic Scientists have been taking their experiments to their backyards. In the first week they created footprints using a variety of materials, and examined them for interesting features.

This week they tested theories around the application of pressure on a tool, and how it may leave an impression. Many students created their own ‘playdough’ or had to improvise so they could conduct their experiments. A range of tools were tested, including forks, screwdrivers and harmonicas!
