Volunteer Information Sessions and Child Safety Refreshers

We are delighted to finally be able to host two Volunteer Information Sessions and Child Safety Refreshers for any existing volunteers or parents/carers who would like to engage in volunteer opportunities at the College. Individuals who are already on our Volunteer Register need to attend the Refresher and familiarise themselves with our new Child Safe Code of Conduct.

Volunteers are integral to the College experience for our students and they provide an important link to the community.

Volunteers at the College may be called on for a range of duties including assisting staff with school-based tasks, assisting with sporting and other special events like the Mother's Day Stall.

Campaspe Student Leaders Forum

On Friday April 1st, six of our Year 8 Student Leaders attended the Campaspe Student Leaders Forum hosted by the Echuca Twin Rivers Specialist School. The focus of the forum was to encourage networking between local school leaders and to learn and build on leadership skills that can assist their school and community. The day commenced with a Welcome to Country led by Sonia Briggs and the students heard from a range of guest speakers who provided them with ideas on how to get their voices heard.

Friday was a great experience because we got to make new friends, also we got to learn about leadership and how to be better at it.”

Dylan

I really enjoyed going the to the Twins Rivers Specialist School on the 1st of April. It was a great experience to go through and I learnt so much. I loved learning about other people’s stories and what experiences they have been through. I would definitely go again!

Charli

It was a great experience with lots of new people to meet. My favourite part was getting to meet new people and learning about how kids are affected by many different problems and how they turned out and how we can help kids who are affected by this nowadays to get a better future and be a better person.

Beau

On Friday the 1st of April we learnt a lot about life, social and leadership experience, also made new friends. The free Mentos were pretty great too!

Cooper

It was such a fun day! I enjoyed making new friends and learning about new things. I loved to see people being honest and talking to me about what they have been through. The food was amazing! I feel so honoured to be able to do this.
