RIPPONLEA IS BECOMING A RESOURCE SMART SCHOOL

What a successful launch we had for the Resource Smart School's program at the Welcome Picnic. A big thank you to Eadie, Millie and Lily, our amazing student sustainability leaders for their inspiring speech and setting up the recycling collection table and bins for the event.

The student sustainability leaders, staff and committee are working towards getting the school's first star this year. More information on the program can be found here:

We have many exciting things to do and launch this year, watch this space and RPS social media for updates.

SCHOOL COMMUNITY GARDEN UPDATE

You know what they say, it takes a village to raise a……Productive Garden.

⁣⁣Here are a few of our parents and students preparing, planting and fertilising the garden, ready for a bountiful year ahead. ⁣⁣Aren’t we lucky that Bunnings in Port Melbourne donated all these goods? ⁣

  • 30 punnets of leafy greens
  • 10 packets of Dwarf bean seeds
  • 10 packets of carrot seeds
  • 5 packets of tomato seeds
  • 5 packets of beetroot seeds
  • 5 punnets of parsley
  • 5 punnets of chives
  • 1 container of slow release fertilizer
  • 4 mini watering cans, so our littlies can help us keep our greens healthy and hydrated.⁣

What a team effort  - we can’t wait to  eat all the yummy veg!

Stay tuned for a Productive Garden sale!
