Compassion: Walking With and Having Empathy for All

Term 1 of 2022 has provided the College community with an incredible array of opportunities to grow as individuals and as a collective. Both curriculum and co-curricular activities have included moments to consider ways to demonstrate the love of Jesus to each other and to those in our wider community. Students have explored new learnings through classes and considered how they might be able to make a positive difference in our world.

“Clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.”

(Colossians 3:12b)

Parent/Teacher Interviews

Thank you for partnering with us through the opportunity to participate in the parent/teacher interviews. We value meeting with you to discuss the progress of your child/children.

Please keep the lines of communication open throughout the year and contact teachers via email if you have any concerns regarding learning.

Term 1 Break

Term 1 has been filled with much learning and much busyness as we all return to something that more closely resembles life 'pre-COVID'. I pray that each family is able to enjoy some well deserved family time during the school break.

The two weeks away from the classroom is an opportunity for our senior students to organise their notes for their studies thus far and prepare for the term ahead.

Here are some tips to make the most of your holidays.

Plan out your schedule

  • Set time for fun and downtime
  • Plan revision time for your studies
  • Leave a couple of days free for spur of the moment get togethers

Focus on particular subjects

  • Spend time catching up in any subjects where you feel behind
  • Utilise resources such as Edrolo and ATAR Notes to revise and to work ahead
  • Map out a plan for the term ahead

Don’t overcommit

  • Don’t overfill your schedule
  • Plan for fun, relaxation in addition to study time

Set realistic expectations

  • Be prepared to change your plans
  • Don’t over plan your schedule
  • Be realistic in what you plan to accomplish

Set study catch-ups

  • Plan catch-ups that are both social and opportunities to study
  • Organise your study sessions with friends to support each other
  • Study catch-ups will help to hold you and your friends accountable

Look after your health and wellbeing

  • Take the opportunity to have some extra sleep
  • Eat healthy and regular meals
  • Take brain breaks during your study sessions
