Reflections on Faith

From the desk of the Religious Education Coordinator - Miss McMeniman

Next week, 22-28th May, the Armidale Diocese is celebrating Catholic Schools Week. This year's theme is 'Our Hope-Filled Future'. Our Year 6 students will be travelling to Armidale on Thursday 26th to attend Mass at the Cathedral with other schools in the Northern area of our Diocese. Some of our students will be actively participating in the Mass having been selected as readers for the Prayers of the Faithful.

In addition to Year 6 attending Mass in Armidale, our K-4 students will be attending Mass with Father Gleeson on Tuesday for Our Patron Saint, "Our Lady Help of Christians". This Mass will be at 9:30am and we invite parents to attend.

First Holy Communion Reminder

Reminder: if your child is eligible to complete the Sacrament of First Holy Communion this year, catechesis sessions have commenced. The Sacrament will be celebrated on the 19th June and children need to attend three masses in the lead up to this day. Also, as part of the program, children need to complete their booklets which will be signed off by Father Gleeson. These are handed out when the $15 is paid to the office. This $15 also covers the gifts presented to candidates after they have completed the Sacrament on behalf of the Parish community.
