 OCTOBER THE MONTH OF THE HOLY ROSARY

The month of October each year is dedicated to the Holy Rosary. The liturgical feast of Our Lady of the Rosary is celebrated today, on October 7. The Rosary is a special prayer that Mary gave us to help us remember and meditate on the special events of Jesus' life.

Do you have Rosary beads or prayer beads at your house?  Have they got a story or tradition behind them? 

My Nan gave me my first pair of Rosary Beads when I was a child. The Rosary Beads in this photo though were given to me by a very good friend who got them from the Vatican in Rome & they have been blessed by the Pope.

CHRISTIAN  INITIATION Into our Catholic Life here at St Mels Parish

  Into our Catholic Life here at St Mel’s Parish. I have recently received a strong expression of interest from a mother of children who herself wants to make a journey to Easter for 2023. If anyone knows of another who is seeking an understanding of our Catholic Faith an INQUIRY EVENING will take place on Sunday evening, October 30th, 2022 at 7pm in the Gathering Room at the Parish House. There will be another Inquiry evening on Sunday, November 6th at 7pm. Here’s hoping we may have some potential candidates for Easter next year.
