FA - Miss Zoe

A couple of times each term we complete our handwriting challenge! We revise our written alphabet on the dotted thirds, then look back at our previous challenges to compare our efforts. Check out this very neat handwriting from Noah!

Here the FA students are taking part in a STEM challenge! First they had to chat and make a ‘group plan’, where everybody said their ideas. Students practised listening to one another. Then they attempted to build the tallest tower that could hold a single marshmallow on top. There was lots of trial and error! Here is the winning tower – of course it’s not all about winning… but it is still fun to win!

FB - Miss Deacon

Foundation B have been working on ’sharing’ in maths over the past couple of weeks, we have done lots of hands on activities to explore this concept. Have a look at our sharing mats below where students all had a different number and shared them among 2, 3, 4, and 5! There were some interesting discoveries along the way!

This week gardening was back!! FB enjoyed having Dave back at school and we got straight into weeding! Students rolled up their sleeves and pulled our lots and lots of weeds in zone 4. They worked together and the area now looks nice and fresh for our plants to grow! Take a look and some awesome teamwork below!!

What a fabulously busy and productive two weeks we have had in Foundation C.

We were all raving about out excursion to Pevan and Sarah and boy did we rock out! Here is Heidi R’s fabulous recount about the day.

During Literacy sessions we have been enjoying using our ‘telephones’ to listen to ourselves read. Here are Lincoln, Willow, Jett, Lily and Heidi doing their absolute best with some decodable readers.
