Grade 2 Students

Celebrating our terrific Twos!

2A - Mr E

The Grade 2's have had a busy few weeks, which has included lots of fun activities.

Last Monday, we were able to go on our walking excursion that had been postponed from the week before. Our excursion ended up having more than just a geography focus, with the recent floods giving us lots of different things to look at. Students were fascinated by the trail the flood waters had left behind. We had some great conversations about why we shouldn't litter after seeing how much rubbish was in the trees and on the bank of the river. We then enjoyed a play at the oval and park before making our way back up the long hill to school. Thank you to all the parent helpers that offered their help and those who came along.

This week in Japanese, the students made onigiri (Japanese rice balls). We did this in honour of World Food Day. By making the onigiri and uploading a picture of our creation, Table for Two provides five school-ready meals to children in need around the world. That's 355 meals that will be making their way to children around the world thanks to our wonderful Grade 2 student's creations. Thank you to Junko Sensei for organising this fun activity for us.
