Level 5/6
Level 5 and 6 News
Level 5 and 6 have started the Term in spectacular style! The Level 5 students spent the first few days on a wonderful camp at Forest Edge Camp in Neerim East where they were able to enjoy the gorgeous weather and participate in a variety of activities such climbing walls, bush walks, camp cooking, a variety of sports and a night walk. The students loved the opportunity to demonstrate their independence, work with students from across the cohort and take on many challenges throughout the 3 day adventure. We are extremely proud of the Level 5s as they embraced these opportunities and conducted themselves in an excellent manner. Well done to all of the students and a huge thank you to the staff who were able to make this possible.
The Level 6 students also had a wonderful start to the term through their participation in a variety of ‘Fun Week’ activities at school. They worked in teams to complete a variety of tasks for an amazing race challenge. Put their knowledge to the test in a trivia challenge and worked collaboratively during an all day Planks incursion that involved various challenges throughout the day. We were also lucky enough to participate in a Level 6 organisation incursion in preparation for secondary school in 2023. To finish off the fun activities students dressed in their pajamas and enjoyed a year level movie afternoon.
Once we were all back together in the classroom the students enjoyed having another opportunity for a ‘Book Tasting’ where they were able to sample a range of books and record their impressions and preferences for reading each book which will then help form their ‘Book Clubs’ for literature circles for the remainder of the year.
Congratulations to all of our students on an awesome start to our final term in Level 5 and 6.
