For this week’s class we have 5R, one of the classes that are part of the school's amazing 5/6 cohort. As part of the class spotlight we interviewed two of their delightful kids, asking them some questions about what they do in reading, writing and mathematics and really what has been going on within their amazing class. They were happy to answer, and this was what they said:

We interviewed: Benny and Tommy
What makes your class such a special place to learn in?

Our teacher and classmates make our class a fun and exciting place to learn in. We have really good conversations and our teacher uses new words to help improvement our vocabulary.

What is your class doing at the moment in Reading?

We are learning to analyse and critique an author's choice within a text. This week we are identifying the author's purpose and genre of the text Back of The Buses.

What is your class doing at the moment in Writing?

We are completing narrative texts. We are learning to include descriptive language and lots of adjectives within our class.

What is your class doing at the moment in Mathematics?

We are learning about Fractions. This includes comparing fractions with pie charts and other learning tools.

What is your favourite part about being a student at Albanvale Primary School?
My favourite part about being in Albanvale is that in the morning you get provided with toast and cereal. Also there a lot of students that you can socialise with and become friends with.

It is clear that the students in 5R are doing some awesome work and this has allowed the class to learn some great things. We will be back next week to highlight the great work that another of Albanvale Primary School Classes work is doing.
