Homestay Provider Needed

We are looking for a homestay family for a male international student form Macau, who will start Year 10 at Mullauna in 2023.  He prefers to stay with a family within walking distant to Mullauna if possible, however a short bus ride is also acceptable.

To become a homestay provider, you need to be a citizen or a permanent resident of Australia.  A successful Working with Children Check (free of charge) is also required for every residents in the family over 18 years of age. The role requires you to provide accommodation, food and day-to-day needs for the student for the duration that the student is enrolled at Mullauna.  Providing homestay for international student is different from hosting short term exchange student from overseas, and your expenses will be reimbursed by the student's family in the form of a boarding fee.  Hosting an international student is not only a great experience for a family, but also allows a young person from a different country to experience our true Aussie culture.
