Music Update 

Interesting music fact:   Music learning enhances the ability to hear emotion in speech and produce or amend the prosodic patterns in speech. This assists children to communicate and interact more effectively in social situations.

STAGE BAND PERFORMS:

Congratulations to the Stage Band who performed under the guidance of Mr Parsons at the Jaki Upwood Art Exhibition on Wednesday evening. The band did a fantastic job of welcoming the guests into the exhibition and setting the tone for the event. Congratulations to all of the students who performed!

MARIMBA FUNDRAISING EVENT:

This was launched in the Mid-Year Music Concert. The Music Department is planning to raise $5000 to cover the cost of one of these instruments. If you would like to contribute to the Marimba Fundraiser please contact the front office. Families who donate $100 will have one of the Marimba keys named for them.
