Traffic management
Langwarrin Community Centre have raised their concerns about parents/carers that are using their car park as a pick up point in the afternoon. Langwarrin Community Centrewould like to respectfully request that EMC parents find an alternate place to collect their children. Do not use their car park as a pick up point in the afternoons: The centre has a learning program that finishes at 3.00 pm and parents are unable to get a carpark to collect their children on time. It is very dangerous as all of these children are under 5 and could potentially run out into the car park.
Do not drop off children in the left turning lane that enters into the College - this is also a Bus bay- it is NOT a drop off zone.
Reducing traffic congestion
Please consider the following safe options:
- Collect your child at the Church on the corner of North rd. and Warrandyte rd.
- Collect your child at the community centre.
- Collect your child from the Langwarrin Hall on the corner of Warrandyte rd and Cranbourne-Frankston rd ensuring they cross that road following the crossing supervisors instructions.
- Suggest your child to walks or rides to school if you live a close distance to the College
- Utilise the local bus services- please see our College website page for the bus timetable:
Boom Gates:
As part of our traffic management plan the electronic and secured boom gates are activated at the entrance of the bus bay entry and exit of the College grounds.
The boom gates are operational
These boom gates can only be accessed by staff with a secure pass.
