Faith and Mission Captains - Jethmi Almedia & Chris Kelly

Hello Everyone!

We have now (finally) come to the end of Term 3 and we have also finally finished one the most busiest terms! Everyone should feel a sense of accomplishment having come so far and we should also be excited as we only have one term to go!

Recently the leadership team has been involved in funding for Cambodia as I'm sure you all have seen. Thank you to everyone who has taken part! This fundraising event is really important to our sister school in Cambodia as it allows them to purchase resources and desks for their students, and refocus on future goals for their own education.

Additionally, the Social Justice Committee has also taken up action and begun collaborating with our 'Aged Care Involvement' initiative. Students have received letters from a 'Pen-Pal' from our local Dandenong aged care centre which allowed them to learn more about and form a connection with important elders in our community.

For example, My 'Pen-pal' was Christine, she loves music and her late husband was an Elvis impersonator!

Similarly, those involved in the Aged Care 'Pen-pal' program have received their letters and will be writing back to them during the holidays.

Moreover, our Social Justice Committee 'Breakfast Club' initiative has been successful in feeding many hungry students. Thank you again to Jess Edwards for helping us and the Committee who planned these initiatives and for working so closely with us!
