Term 2 Short Courses Year 12 Students
Mrs Corsini sent Expression of Interest forms for the Year 12 Short Courses being offered at the College at the start of school holidays to gather numbers and to start booking in dates and confirming costings. The due date was extended to Wednesday 4th May and Mrs Corsini is still waiting for many forms to be returned. This is the last call for numbers to confirm dates and prices for each course.
Please email forms directly to madison.davey@education.wa.edu.au
Continuation of learning
If students have missed VET theory classes for any reason, have lost a Skills Journal or require the practical paperwork for the Units of Competency, you can all access it on Connect under "Year 12 Farm" or "Year 11 Farm" Class. Please see Mrs Corsini if you have any issues or questions on how to access Connect or have questions on how to achieve your Certificate II & III qualifications on Farm. We will also have a Farm staff member on Tuesday night preps throughout this term if anyone needs more assistance in completing Farm paperwork.
Seeding
The Year 12 seeding roster is out and displayed on the Farm Information board, please check when you are required to be dressed in farm uniform ready to jump on the tractor.
Third Party Reports
Mrs Corsini has spoken to the Year 11 & 12 students in VET theory class in regards to third party reports. With seeding and the busy season coming up for our farmers, if you are completing any practical requirements that can go towards your Units of Competency, please get in contact with Mrs Corsini so you can complete some third party reports when home on weekends.
The third party reports are evidence towards the students Certificate II in Agriculture or Certificate III in Agriculture practical assessments. Mrs Corsini will send the requirements via email.
Students also need video evidence that supports the paperwork. It is recommended to put all evidence on the USB each night or week to bring back to the College. If any students are interested in completing these reports, please see Mrs Corsini.
Weekend Duty
Mrs Corsini would like to thank all those students who have completed or nominated for their two weekend duties for this term and next. The rosters are complete and if you are unsure on what date you have been given, please get in contact with Mrs Corsini.
A reminder that swapping weekend roster is strongly discouraged but in the event this situation arises students must give a valid reason, two weeks’ notice to Mrs Corsini, and find another student to replace you.
Students and parents have access to the roster through daily notices, Farm Noticeboard, College Chatter and via email.
