Kia Ora Whānau.
This Friday is a special day - Pink Shirt Day - at Western Heights School. We are hoping everyone will make an effort to wear something PINK.
Pink Shirt Day is organised in support of the Mental Health Foundation of New Zealand.
If you would like to support this worthy cause you are welcome to send a gold coin donation along with your child.
Please note - this donation is optional, you are welcome to wear pink without making a donation.
Thank You To Our WHS Whānau Community - You Are Awesome:
You may be tired of me saying it, but I am not, so I will say it again. Our community is awesome. We are so grateful and appreciative of how you are patient, supportive, understanding and just make things work.
After two years of Covid challenges, one of the best things lately has been being able to open up our school to parents again in the morning. We asked you to wear masks and not stay too long, and you have been just brilliant in doing so. Thank you all.
You have also been really good in terms of end of day arrangements. I have noticed a lot more parents parking down the road - brilliant. I have noticed parents timing their arrivals to suit when their children finish, and you have stayed in your cars when in the middle part of the drop-off zone. As a rule, lots of you have also been good at moving to the top of the zone to ensure we get as many cars off the road as possible.
Thank you sincerely.
As always - if you have questions or concerns about anything - email me at macash@mac.com and I will get back to you asap
Take care all.
