From the Principal

  •

Here we are at the half way mark for our school year.

It has been a challenging start for us all. Reorganising due to the fire in December, and then dealing with the uncertainty of COVID-19 has presented many challenges to us all.

The Department for Education is still investigating exactly what needs to happen with the rebuilding process for our school administration area and staff room. As soon as we are made aware of timelines we will certainly keep you informed.

In the meantime I want to acknowledge the resilience and positive attitude our staff have had to the temporary changes we have had to make.

The impact of COVID-19 has unsettled some of our students who have indicated they are worried about the uncertainty they are hearing about in the media.

As a school, we continue with our hygiene processes re regular and thorough hand washing and with our additional daily surface cleaning  across the school.

I want to thank parents and carers for respecting the requirement of not entering school classrooms and buildings.

While this is not how we would normally like to operate, it is a DfE requirement and is for the safety of all of us.

If you do need to speak with your child’s teacher or another staff member, please phone the school to make an appointment. Meetings can be conducted via phone calls.

On behalf of all our staff here at Hampstead Primary School I wish you and your family a relaxing, happy and safe July holiday.

We look forward to seeing you all back on July 20 for another action packed term of learning.

Kind Regards,

Joy
