Grade 3/4 At Work - Bioglyphs

This week the Year 3/4 class looked at Bioglyphs: bio: “life”, glyph: “symbol”.

A bioglyph is a picture consisting of symbols to show someone’s life.

We had an engaging lesson discussing and trying to interpret each other’s bioglyphs – we even found out a lot about each other too!!

Grade 1 at Work

Grade 3/4 School Sports Victoria Swimming

On Tuesday 12th February, we had 5 students from Grade 3/4 compete in the local School Sports Victoria time trials; Havish, Lakshya, Molly, Vihaan, Vansh.

They all competed with Manor Lakes College to give their best times in Freestyle, Backstroke, Breaststroke, and Butterfly to try and qualify for the District swimming event. A standout was Vansh and Molly clocking their 40m Freestyle in under 60 seconds. Each participant offered up a very competitive time. I was particularly impressed with the way in which they all composed themselves, were well mannered, and was extremely proud of how they represented the name of Wyndham Christian College in public.

There was even a need to use the school medical kit – and what a surprise to find the exact thing we all needed after an exhausting event!!!

I look forward to crunching the times and announcing our representatives for the District event!
