Introducing our School Captains
PATRICK BERMAN
Hi my name is Patrick but most people call me Paddy and I am 11 years old. As you may know I’m one of the school captains of 2020. Here are some things you may not know about me:
- In my family I have 6 people - two brothers, a sister, a Mum and a Dad.
- I love animals, especially reptiles. We have lots of pets such as fish, chickens, a lizard and a very old cat.
- Some sports I play are futsal (indoor soccer) and squad swimming.
- Some things I enjoy doing in my spare time are reading (especialy non-fiction ones), going in our pool during summer and playing video games with my brothers.
When I found out I was school captain I was so suprised I thought that they had made a mistake with the names. I am excited to have this role this year because I get to stand up in front of assembly, talk to the teachers and it is a big responsibility.
As school captain this year some things I am hoping to achieve with Mattise are helping to make St Mary’s a better place by leading by example as a role model. Some of the things that are important to me are being nice to everyone, being giving to each other and the people in our community, being able to work with lots of different people and having a good time at school. Another thing that is important to me is that everyone is able to learn and enjoy it. I really enjoy learning new things especialy math and science, and I want to inspire others to do the same.
