Harmony Day

We will be holding our wonderful Harmony Day celebration on Friday 26th March this term. We ask that all students come to school in a costume that represents their heritage or in the colour orange – which is the Harmony Day colour. We will be taking the students to the oval at the start of the day to make a giant smiley face then we will hold a special assembly from 9:30 am to parade the costumes and hear from our wonderful choirs. We will have a few staff and students from Eastwood Primary School present at the assembly to watch our Rangeview students sing the anthem and sign in AUSLAN.

The Rangeview students will then move to their classes where they will halve with their buddy grade to take part in Harmony Day activities together with buddies. All of our students have been placing their dots on the world map in the school's foyer to mark the birthplace of their parents. It is so wonderful to see and celebrate our diversity.

We are very sad that we are still unable to invite our parents to attend this assembly. For any gathering where over 1000 people attend (including students), we have to register 6 weeks in advance as an event and create a covid plan which includes sign ins to support contact tracing. If this changes before the date we will notify the community.

We invite you to join us remotely using the WebEx Event details below. Remember you need an email to sign in.

For whole school events in Term 2 we will plan ahead enough to set up the required event registration. We are so eager to have our community back together.
