Be More
God of Justice, awaken in me the determination to work for a more just world.
God of Love, prompt me to always seek the truth.
God of Compassion, strengthen me to raise my voice in solidarity with
those experiencing poverty and marginalisation.
God of Strength, enliven in me the courage
to stand beside those fighting injustice.
God of Grace, inspire me to be more rather than to want more.
May I learn to walk your way of mercy and compassion for all.
May I be generous with what you have freely given
so that my brothers and sisters can live life to the full.
St Pius X, Pray For Us
Blessed Edmund Rice, Pray for Us
Live Jesus In our Hearts, Forever

The College was pleased to welcome a gathering of our new leaders in the Chatswood Catholic community on Tuesday morning. Pictured in the banner photo, first on the left is Mr Marco Ianni (Principal of Our Lady of Dolours Primary School), Ms Brenda Timp is fifth from the left (Principal of Mercy Catholic College), Fr David Ranson (Parish Priest) is next to our students and Mr Peter Leuenberger (EREA Eastern Region Director) is next to Mr Couani.
I mentioned at one of the Parent Information Evenings last week that we have had another set of issues regarding students using vapes at school and on the way to and from school. The College deals with this very seriously and there are significant consequences for students who do this.
We have been very clear with the entire student body about their risk taking behaviours and the need to make responsible decisions or face the consequences.
The PD/H/PE classes are teaching the students about the harm that these cause to your lungs, brain and body generally. Further to the health issues, this is illegal for minors and in every way prohibited in schools and whenever students are in school uniform.
As parents we are all concerned about the unregulated nature of vapes by Government legislation as well as the impact vaping can have on student growth, development and wellbeing.
The College Counselling team have included a fact sheet for parents, and the YouTube clip outlines the alarming problems of vaping in the USA.
If you have any concerns please contact Mr Russo, Mrs Gill or Ms McCarthy for further information and assistance.
